My Adorable Little Tea Cart

Have I mentioned my love of Craig?? One afternoon, while spending some quality time with Craig, we stumbled across this adorable little tea cart.
Well, actually that is an adorable little sweetheart but behind him, if you look closely, is my adorable little tea cart. It was brushed brass soooooooo I took out my handy dandy can o' black spray paint and got to work.

At first I thought it looked too masculine but it's growing on me and I'm diggin' my adorable little tea cart. By the way. This little cart only set me back a mere ten bucks! Oh how I love Craig!

My love affair with Craig.

That is right. I have been having a love affair for some time now with Craig. Craig is so organized and orderly. I enjoy curling up, just me and Craig, hot tea in hand, searching from one list to another. It is so thrilling when Craig helps me find something I need and I bring it home with me. Like this mirror that was white washed. I spray painted it black and hung in our breakfast area. And my swiney butcher with the chalkboard I spray painted red. These I don't know what I'll do with but Craig and I found them yesterday and they were F-R-E-E!
I have to admit I've cheated on Craig with Will. I just love Will and all his Goodness! Just today I snuck over to Will's place and found all of these for less than a Jackson, including tax! That's a Martha Stewart pitcher ($2.99), some glass candle sticks ($2.99 each), a cute litte basket with a wooden handle and the cup and saucer is a pattern that I've been collecting that my Grandmother has called Antique Grape by Metlox. They were .49 cents each!!

I have been very busy on some before and after projects I picked up while hanging out with Craig and Will, a love affair I don't see ending any time soon...

I hit the jackpot today!

Those who know me know I don't pay full price for anything. To shave $100 off my grocery bill in coupons is not unusual (I am shopping for 6 after all)and I am addicted to Ebay and craigslist.

I found two pretty crystal bowls on Craigslist today and after talking with the lister we agreed to meet at Barnes and Nobles for me to view them. Well, as I suspected they were just what I wanted so I gave her the money. Aren't they extraordinary!

She said, I have these others if you would like to see them. So I said, sure! This is what she showed me.

Now the jackpot is this. The original two bowls I was thrilled to purchase for a mere $10 for the pair. Yes that is T-E-N dollars for both of them!!

I told her how much cash I had in my wallet and she said, That's fine you can have them all for that. How much did I have you ask? The other half of the twenty dollar bill I had a clerk break for me so I'd have exact change for the two bowls. Yes all of these I bought for another $10. I could not get to my car with them fast enough.

All of them for twenty dollars! There are 12 American Brilliant pieces and 3 pressed glass. I love it. She said they belonged to her Grandmother who had passed and she inherited it all. It has been in her attic for however long and she was cleaning stuff out. I told her that I love to entertain and that they would definitely be well taken care of and definitely used. She was glad to see them come to a good home. As was I.

Now let's hope this luck runs into the evening and I'm off to watch the Horns "BEAT THE HELL OUT OF OHIO STATE!"

Extraordinarily yours,
